Anyone who plays Minecraft and is highly involved in the Reddit or YouTube community for the game will likely know Sethbling and his Sethbling Maps. That’s right, they’re so amazing they get their own genre: Sethbling Maps. If you haven’t heard of him, then consider it a gift to wonder upon this article, where I’ll be depicting some of his recent and most amazing creations.
Sethbling Maps – Maps that revolutionize Redstone
SethBling has earned the praise his maps get on a daily basis, they bring Redstone to a whole new level with all kinds of innovative uses for command blocks, redstone, and things like MCEdit. Trying other maps and comparing them to Sethbling will end badly, as it’s not even a fair competition with SethBling’s experience in the field of Redstone. However, SethBling focuses more on games and mini-game type maps, so larger maps like CTM are able to compete due to the separate genre.

Blocks vs Zombies
The map he created as a celebration for 1 million subscribers on YouTube and his most advanced redstone creation to date (and most recent of his SethBling maps too). It is a game based off the idea of Plants vs Zombies, as obvious as this by the name of the map. However, it also aims to take on aspects of a Tower Defence game with a point system and purchasable barricades, cannons, turrets, and new weapons.
The reason this is so impressive is because it is able to do all it as able to do with no modifications whatsoever. You can run this game in 100% Vanilla minecraft and it will run perfectly. Still not impressed? The game also has fully functional kill streaks (multiple last hits of zombies in a row), a way to prevent you from jumping into the battlefield, and automatic map-clearing functions at the beginning and end of the game along with items that do this that you can purchase with gold given from the killstreaks.
Minecraft Air Hockey
A Minecraft take on of the popular real life game known as Air Hockey. Using various tactics in order to make it work, SethBling pulls off another amazing feat by incorporating such a game into Minecraft in a functional manner. If you love air hockey and you just can’t find the time to play it enough, you can now play it anywhere, on Minecraft! The friend needed to play is not included in the package though

This is a slightly older map though, so the technology in it is not as advanced as it could be if he recreated it with the new features added recently.
DeathSwap
An original game from SethBling that is extremely simple but amazingly fun. It requires 3 players. 2 players will be facing off against each other and a 3rd player is needed to start at the start in order to act as a “placeholder” while the players swap. This is unavoidable as doing this without a third player to assist was impossible at the time the game was created.
The game is played in a standard PvP format, but with a twist. When the game starts, both players are teleported randomly to a point in the world and after a random period of time (with a minimum and maximum to prevent something like a 1 hour later teleport) you will swap positions. This makes it so you can position yourself in a dangerous spot or set up traps for when you swap positions. However, you don’t know when you’ll swap so don’t try to simply jump in lava randomly because it will not work.
